Leadership

Some people may have a leadership title; however, being a true leader requires much more than that. As distinguished leadership scholar, Dr. James Kouzes, once said: In  the  end, leaders  don’t decide who leads. Followers do… If you think you’re a leader and you turn around and no one is following you, then you’re simply out for a walk.”

Being an Orthodox Christian Leader carries greater responsibility because the ultimate objective is to bring people closer to Christ and each other. There are many dimensions to being an authentic Orthodox Christian Servant Leader. Having worked with over 600 churches for over 20 years, served in leadership positions in two global firms for almost 4 decades, and in studying best practices in my Doctorate of Strategic Leadership program, I am blessed to develop and offer these free leadership materials.

These materials focus on leadership best practices, legal requirements, and effective techniques for parish boards, ministries, nonprofits, and clergy. There is a special emphasis on the Stewardship Calling Orthodox Christian Servant Leader model that focuses on the 6 critical leader dimensions of: Love, Humility, Trust, Courage, Team, and Vision.

“When seen through the lens of a servant’s heart, leadership becomes not just a job but a calling. Lives are changed for the better. Next generation leaders are molded. Along the way,  the sense of destiny  God planted in each individual soul finds fulfillment.” Dr. James Kouzes
