Personal Calling

I am devoting (the rest of my life) and several Stewardship Calling 5th Sunday Series Programs on Ancient Faith Radio to the critical topic of personal calling and WHY are you here. You can check out the January 31, 2016 and May 31, 2015 Stewardship Calling programs already available (and the May 29, 2016 program coming up) at:

Internet Radio – 5th Sunday Stewardship Calling

However, one more critical video I highly recommend (along with the book by the same name) is Simon Sinek’s powerful and inspirational TED talk called: “Start with WHY – How Great Leaders Inspire Action” that can be found at:

Ancient Faith Radio

Ancient Faith Radio seeks to deepen and enrich the faith of Orthodox  Christians around the world with streaming audio programming, live call-ins,  and on-demand podcasts. We feature liturgical music from a variety of Orthodox traditions, as well as prayers, readings, lectures, and interviews.  Ancient Faith Radio is a division of Ancient Faith Ministries, which also operates Ancient Faith Publishing under the auspices of the Antiochian Orthodox Archdiocese of North America. However, it is a pan-Orthodox ministry and thus serves and supports all jurisdictions.

Orthodox On Purpose

Orthodox on Purpose is a prayer that we will embrace the active and intentional practice of the Orthodox Christian faith moment by moment, day by day, and year by year, until we are “like Christ.” The Mission of Orthodox on Purpose is to be a catalyst for the appreciation and the adoption of an intentional practice of the Orthodox Christian faith.

Orthodox on Purpose is the prayerful ministry of Fr. Barnabas Powell. Fr. Barnabas, a convert to the Holy Orthodox Christian Church, entered the Orthodox Church in November of 2001. In the Orthodox Christian faith, Fr. Barnabas has found a dynamic and disciplined lifestyle of faith centered on the miracle of God becoming flesh so that man might become “like Christ.” This journey to theosis cannot be accomplished without a purposeful and intentional practice of the healing disciplines of the Orthodox faith. It is learning this lifestyle that overcomes the debilitating effects of a self-centered life, and becoming free to become by grace what Christ is by nature. This is the purpose for which every man, woman, boy, and girl was created.

With Purpose of Heart

This is Father Paul Lundberg’s web log (blog), the second priest at Holy Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church in Marietta, Georgia (and my son by marriage). On this  website, he shares content that will connect readers with life-giving ideas and resources that support our growth as persons and servant-leaders, including sermons he has offered and content related to youth ministry.

Greek Orthodox Archdiocese Department of Internet Ministries

Internet Ministries is dedicated to wielding technology for the proclamation of the Good News of the Gospel and for the advancement of Orthodox Christian ministry. Greek Orthodox Archdiocese Office of Parish Development

The Office of Parish Development (OPD) has provided expert  fundraising assistance to Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America parishes across the country for a variety of  purposes. At any point in time, many parishes are in need of fundraising assistance  from an outside, objective, and experienced source.  The benefits received from these services in terms of greater organization, better execution, and more dollars raised makes the costs worthwhile.  In 2004, the Archdiocese created the OPD to  provide such fundraising assistance specifically for Greek Orthodox parishes.

The services of the OPD are unique in several ways.  The fundraising approach of the office is based on direct experience and personal involvement with Greek Orthodox parishes across the United States.  The OPD aims to assist parishes using an effective strategy that is rooted  in sound fundraising principles. Even more importantly, OPD staff members work to ensure that funds are raised in such a way as to glorify God and to enhance the spiritual life of all involved in the project.
