To any who doubt or are afraid…
Take the first step. Look Behind, and you will be further than you were before you took that first step.
My Parish began this journey with much hope, prayer, and trepidation, but also a large degree of necessity. It took a while to get started, but once we did, we have been blessed with encouraging results. We kept it simple: we revised our stewardship card, gathered and educated stewardship ambassadors, and began the one on one meetings between the ambassadors and our faithful to educate them and spread the word… we did not ask for any more money. The results were very positive, and to our great surprise, even though we didn’t ask for any more money, Thanks be to God, our pledges and giving increased by a shocking degree.
We are taking baby steps, but making progress, and soon we shall stride with one another in true, meaningful and joyful engagement and giving.
Take that first step.
