Churches are suffering and have been for decades. Attendance, volunteerism, membership, giving, youth engagement, stewardship, participation in sacraments, outreach and evangelism, religious education and other ministries are all declining and suffering. All of these “comorbidities” (and many others) have now been empirically measured in our parishes.
