Seventy-five days after his enthronement, Archbishop Elpidophoros, new Archbishop of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America sat down with me for a video interview where he shared extraordinarily personal insights into his own faith journey and the living of his calling, as well as his ideas for the Archdiocese.
We discussed his three critical initial priorities and some ideas for the future of the Archdiocese. In addition, Archbishop Elpidophoros identified an exciting vision for greater Orthodox unity in the United States and specific plans for how the Holy Orthodox Church can better serve the needs of our youth, faithful, seekers and the communities in which we live.
His Eminence also shared an amazing personal story of a vision he had of Orthodox Saint Iakovos Tsalikis of Evia whom he was able to help ensure was canonized and properly recognized.
Finally, Archbishop Elpidophoros offered us several authentic and personal insights into the man who wears the robes and carries the staff as shepherd of the Greek Orthodox faithful in the United States.
