In the Divine Liturgy within the Orthodox Christian church, we pray: “
“That the end of our lives may be Christian, without pain, blameless and peaceful, and for a good account at the awesome judgment seat of Christ, let us ask.”
To help ensure that on the day of our final judgment, when we meet our Creator and hopefully present a good account of our lives, we can use the faith-based discipline of strategic planning to help ensure that our Parishes optimize their actions to fully live the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:19 to “Go therefore, and make Disciples of all nations.”
All of the elements of true church strategic planning can be found in the Holy Gospel and is a Biblically supported process. By the grace of God, I have been blessed to have developed a comprehensive training program to help Christian Parishes and church ministries learn how to use the established discipline of strategic planning to improve the paradigm of their Parish and ministries and help it achieve its vision and mission.
This comprehensive church strategic planning training provides a methodical process for a Parish to establish a Statement of WHY, complete a SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats), clarify its Mission, develop a Vision and identify its Core Values. You will learn the 4 Ps of Strategic Planning and the C² P² Strategic Planning Parish Model.
Concrete examples of successful Christian church strategic plans are provided from the Metropolis of San Francisco and Metropolis of Atlanta, which have both undertaken this transformational process. The complete strategic plans and action plans from these Metropolises can be found on this website by following the following links: Metropolis of San Francisco Strategic Plan and Metropolis of Atlanta Strategic Plan. I am also working with the national Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA on their strategic plan and the current status can be found here: Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA Strategic Plan
