$30,000 Good and Faithful Servant Challenge

Who Gives Away $30,000 And Only Asks For A Postcard In Return?

Did you hear the one about the church that gave its parishioners $30,000 and told them to give it away. And all they had to send back was a post card about who they helped and how it felt?  Who would do something so crazy, particularly while a global pandemic was closing the world?

As it turns out, this is the way you actually open hearts and change the world, as well as improve the culture of generosity in a family or a church. Lives were transformed. People who needed it most were helped in extraordinary ways. Small miracles occurred. And the media and community took notice. An Orthodox Christian church actually put into practice what their Lord and Savior taught: “be a good and faithful servant” with whatever you are entrusted.

Come hear this amazing “feel good” first hand story on the “Good and Faithful Servant Challenge” Stewardship Calling live internet radio program on Ancient Faith Radio on Wednesday, May 6th at 8:00 p.m. Eastern (7 Central / 6 Mountain / 5 Pacific) at: https://www.ancientfaith.com/radio/live

My special guest will be the always inspirational Fr. Luke Veronis, Proistamenos of Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Webster, MA. This visionary leader, and his dynamic parish, accepted my Stewardship Calling Good and Faithful Servant Challenge as they celebrated their 100th anniversary. They asked themselves two tough questions:
1. Who are we as Orthodox Christians and as the Church?
2. What do we want to be known for as a Church?

And by giving away $30,000, and recording the many creative ways in which they caused that amount to multiply greatly, they received so much more in return and demonstrated that a community of faith that reaches outside its four walls shines God’s light in a dark world. Tune in and you will hear amazing stories of transformation, redemption and generosity. This is your chance in these troubled times to feel better than you have in a long while. Please share this message with your family and friends so they too can tune in and experience the joy of some “good news.”

As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God” (1 Peter 4:10)
