May 5, 2021 – Difficult Conversations and Conflict in Church, Ministries and Daily Life – Part 2

Everyone deals with difficult conversations, challenging people, and interpersonal conflicts.  If handled well, relationships can be strengthened, trust can be enhanced, and organizations and lives can be improved. This is possible both in your church and your daily life.

Our unwillingness to engage in productive difficult conversations and deal with conflict is at the root of so many deep seeded issues in our churches, ministries and lives. However, knowing what to do and say in such situations is the key to success and improved relationships.

We started to tackle these difficult issues in Part 1 on the April 7, 2021 Stewardship Calling Live on Ancient Faith Radio. In that program, I discussed with expert,  Dr. Mitch Owen, how to better manage conflict in our churches, ministries and lives.

And now in Part 2 on May 5, 2021, Mitch and I will delve more deeply into some successful strategies and examples of how to have increasingly productive difficult conversations. We also invite you to call in share your stories, ask your questions and get suggestions for how to better handle difficult conversations, all by calling: 1-855-AFRADIO (1-855-237-2346).

Dr. Mitch Owen is a dedicated Orthodox Christian who is the creator of the Elusive Leadership Model for high performance teams and is an expert on the topics of managing conflict and difficult conversations. Mitch has decades of experience addressing conflict in non-profit organizations, including churches, and helping them become more effective and collegial by guiding their leaders to perform at higher levels of excellence.
